# Why is my custom item type not showing up with default realtions?

Custom Item types do not automatically come with default relations. These can be configured through the [custom relations](https://docs.ketryx.com/manuals/man-10-managing-items-in-ketryx#id-7.-custom-relations) advanced setting. Here, you can add default relations to your custom item type, or create your own custom relation that will show up in the traceability widget.
