# Is there anything I should know before downloading the Ketryx Connector for Jira app from Atlassian Marketplace?

After the Ketryx app is installed from Atlassian Marketplace and setup is complete, you will be able to link your existing Jira spaces to Ketryx projects. Ketryx will download ~90 custom fields to your Jira instance. These fields will be in the “background” (i.e. they won’t be used on any screens unless the Ketryx schemes are used).

Ketryx configurations and schemes (ex. Ketryx Risk screen, Ketryx standard workflow, Ketryx issue type scheme, Ketryx issue types) will not be pushed to your Jira instance at the time the Connector App is installed. These will become available once you link your first Jira space to a Ketryx project.

If a company-managed Jira space does not contain any items when it is connected to a Ketryx project, then the Ketryx configurations and schemes will be applied to space based on the Ketryx schemas chosen. If a Jira space contains existing Jira items at the time of connection, then it will continue to use the existing Jira scheme, and the Ketryx scheme may be applied later by a Jira space admin.
