# Does Ketryx offer integration with Git but not with GitHub for managing requirements, specifications, and test cases? Should these be written as markdown files instead of GitHub issues?

> **In short:** Ketryx provides a Git integration that supports the creation of configuration items as Markdown files. This feature is compatible with any Git repository, regardless of its hosting platform.

Ketryx provides a Git integration that supports the creation of configuration items as Markdown files. This feature is compatible with any Git repository, regardless of its hosting platform. While Ketryx does not currently integrate with GitHub's issue tracking system for writing requirements (RQs), specifications (SWs), or test cases (TCs), you can manage these documents directly in Git or through Jira issues. However, GitHub issues are not supported for this purpose at the moment. Looking ahead, integrating with GitHub issue tracking may be considered for our long-term roadmap. For Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), Ketryx does offer a GitHub integration, specifically through this GitHub Action: [Ketryx GitHub Action.](https://github.com/Ketryx/ketryx-github-action)
